During 27-28 February – 1st March 2006, Auroville is hosting a 3-day international seminar on Knowledge, Business and Consciousness. This seminar is the 2nd on this theme and follow up to “New Business and Global Consciousness” seminar which Auroville hosted in September 2005 at the initiative of Marc Luyckx Ghisi, member of Auroville International Advisory Council and expert for the Information Society Programs of the European Commission in Brussels. This next seminar is aimed at deepening the dialogue which began during the first seminar to:

• Identify the new emerging movements in the field of business in the world and in India.
• Explore the existence of an emerging new consciousness and discover methodologies through which this new consciousness can be applied in the field of management and business.
• Explore how Auroville can develop as an experimental field for a living application of the values of integral business for the benefit of humanity as a whole.
• Explore the emerging knowledge society and its implications for the increasing manifestation of consciousness through the medium of business.

About 20 prominent people from the top business and economic avant guard have accepted the invitation to participate, thus providing an exceptional opportunity to harvest knowledge from experts in the field and explore the ways that they can help Auroville develop as a unique laboratory for integral entrepreneurship.

Specifically time is set aside for work on developing criterias that could act as a baseline for establishing an incubator for integral entrepreneurship in Auroville and it’s bioregion, thus potentially catalyzing the growth of new income generating initiatives within Auroville.

A creative program is envisioned which will include presentations and interactive dialogues between the visiting specialists and Aurovilians already engaged in business units or aspiring to develop new income generating units in Auroville with an integral base. Youth are also encouraged to participate and space is given in the program for exploring their visions and perspectives. All are warmly invited to participate and contribute to the emerging conversation in this innovative field of global inquiry.
