Tantidhatri - Out or In?
Bruna Gusberti at the Tandtidhatri festival presented at Sri Aurobindo Audittorium, Bharat Nivas in Pavilion of Indian Culture in International Zone act of a woman who reflects on whether to remain closed within her feelings, dreams and sorrows, or not, so as to feel alive. Again minimalistic approach as in props as in the act itself, which tends to tell much more in the silence of "in" than maybe on the "out" tries, finally crosses "in" with heart beat and flowery umbilical cord broken off the stage into the light of love.

A beautiful trip about the French language in XVII century which, in around other two centuries, has developed in the modern french language. Soulful
It was a special treat for music lovers: Friday's concert by Suryan who is blessed by an amazing, rich and charming voice, capable of different styles. Whether soul, R&B, funk, poetic rock...his songs deal with emotions honest and open yet sometimes with a healthy humorous distance. His honesty and heart-probing songs touched us, brought us nearly to tears. And maybe for the first time in public the richness of his songs came out. The intimacy of the room in Pitanga as well as the duet with Taranti combined to make the event one of the kind. Read more

Manoj Pavitran on mutation

This talk of Manoj Pavitran was part of a series of talks on the topic "mutation" that were held in February 2010. We feel that it still has a great value since we are in the middle of a world crisis that seems to bring the advent of mutation. First we hear an introduction to the three-day event on "mutation", then Aurevan is reading three poems from Anu and after Manoj Pavitran is giving a talk titled "Surrendering to change". He speaks of a poise of peace and silence and the presence of the sacred that we have to establish in ourselves. Read more

Suryan
Mostly friends and family members gathered last Saturday 16th of July at 'Purple' to spend an evening in the pleasant company of Suryan and his sweet voice. A still, warm summer night contributed to the soft mellow mood of Suryan and the Purple patrons as well. Songs, some old, some new, some redone, invoked feelings, emotions, sparks of vibrant energy which kept us all in place for almost two hours. And as we knew all along, Suryan proved once again that he's capable of performing a solo concert, creating a blissful atmosphere. Read more

Fate and Love

Not many visitors from Iran come to Auroville. We had a chance to met Dr. Bijan Vala, who told us that fate has brought him here, and he would like to get involved and be active mostly on the field of expressive arts such as music and theater. He sees Auroville as an example of good thoughts, which proved that dreams can turn into reality, and yet he's aware that in the process problems do arise. He likes the Love, The Dream, Matrimandir,... For him the beauty of Matrimandir is that there's nothing religious about it, everybody is left to his/her own thoughts. Read more

Well being in any situation

Listening to many people's stories, one could surmise that many of them could be entitled: "Why I can't be at peace now." To create suffering without recognizing it - this is the essence of unconscious living. To end the misery that has afflicted the human condition for thousands of years, you have to start with yourself and take responsibility for your inner state at any given moment. How to do that? Maxim, a writer, painter and musician, shares in this interview, conducted in his native Russian, his experience with finding a state of well being in any situation.

I ended up in a forest...

So describes Lloyd, his step from the life of an art-and music critic in roaring Amsterdam to the solitude of residing in a keet hut in Auroville's Green Belt. Writing poetry, first a means to fight the loneliness, became his passion. That was 1981. Meanwhile the dedicated poet returned to “civilization” by moving into Creativity, a community in Auroville's city area. BETWEEN THE LINES is the title of Lloyd's book of poems on nature and love, collected in the last 17 years. For AurovilleRadio, the author shares his insights about the process of writing and his inspirations.
